I have a place that has 6 of the older Mercury style 4 tube Motion Pro Sync tools.

He said If I could find 5 others besides me to take them He would sell them

for 110 bucks with the 6mm adaptors, Delivered to your door.

If anyone is interested. Let me know First 5 after me.

These may just be the last of the mercury versions available.

Its the Deluxe one... the yellow one in the picture from the clicky. WOW that is a good price, But do they have any and what is shipping and the 6mm adaptors??? I sure don't know. everywhere I called did not have the merc ones only the magic blue fluid. Has anyone used the magic blue fluid and compared them?

Tim

For the deluxe one, 110ea is no good deal ...even with the adapors (BTW not needed for the FJR)

HOWEVER, it is getting near impossible to find true mercury sticks and if you're an old skewl guy like me perhaps it is good to keep your eyes open for good deals on mercury sticks AND replacement mercury. I've had a devil of a time getting replacement mercury and that chore won't get easier.

If this is indeed $110ea I see no deal here.

Unless you are trying to make an absolute measurement in inches of mercury, I see no advantage of using the real stuff as compared tro the magic blue. Since we are only interested in how the vacuum of one cylinder compares to the others, the relative measurement accuracy of the blue stuff should be fine.

Just another Group Buy gone down the tubes! Next.....

I guess your right! I meant the yellow one in the picture was a good deal. Not 110.

And I thought 6mm adaptors for Yamaha was needed. Could someone smart clear that up for me?

I don't want to buy adaptors if I don't need them.

Thanks

Tim

The 6mm adapters are not needed for the FJR, the sync ports are nipples(!) with caps making it a straight hose job. The throttle bodies on carbureted bikes like the V-Max have screws that block the sync ports. The screw is removed, then the adapter is screwed in and the hose attached to the adapter.

Thanks for the info. I have done the TBS before on the FJR and just used hoses but I also just used airplane manifold pressure guages. I felt it wasn't accurate enough so I opted for buying a Motion Pro this time. I have not worked on enough bikes to know that some had screws, My four have Nipples and caps...

Thanks again you all saved me some money.
