I cant wait for todays race, Rossi was on the pole last year, today he starts 9nth. Turn up the volume, pour me a beer.......**** yes, MOTO GP!!

Rossi crashes in the first turn of the first race of the season!! My wife says he crashed because he has a new girlfriend, what does that mean? :D

Danny Pedrosa placed 2nd and looked so smooooth, most impressive ride of the race. First Moto GP race ever, 250 champ last season. This kid kept his cool and never looked at all like a rookie, amazing ride.

Poor Sete, his Ducati crapped out.

Caparossi wins on the Duck, glad to see one of the Ducks on top, about time.

Nicky Hayden, a distant 3rd, looked slow and sloppy when Pedrosa drove on by.

Looks like Yamaha has got some work to do, Collin was on the same bike as Rossi but could not keep pace either and he didn't crash out. The Duck really had the power in the straights too it pulled away from the Honda pretty good.

Side note: This is the first year I have shelled out the Euros for the motogp.com access and I have to say I am quite happy I did. I am able to hook the laptop to the big screen tv and watch just like it was on tv. Gotta love that streaming video!

Not the greatest footage, but, almost looked like someone hit Elias which stood him up and sent him into Rossi.

Pedrosa looked awesome. Nicky looked soft.

Still blows my mind that the 2 tire manufacturers in the top level of motorcycle racing (Michelin and Bridgestone) are nowhere to be found on the AMA Superbike grid.

Doesnt that have something to do with contracts signed by the sanctioning body (i.e., AMA) designating certain tires for their series?

Not here in the US. In World Superbike, Pirelli is the spec tire, but, that's not the case in the AMA.

Not a good start for Rossi, but if I were a bettin' man I'd pick him against the field to win again this year. Hayden's going to have to step it up a bit if he want's to win this season. Good 250 race as well!

Is Rossi going to be a Michael Schumacher? Perhaps I am just stiring the pot but a few years back who would have thought Schumacher/Ferrari would have crapped out the way they did. Sete is toast.
