Millions of dollars spent on these kids and they couldn't even dress up a bit or act, at least in part, a bit excited (except Casey. I admire him even more now!).

During the event, at which Honda Motor Company President and CEO Takanobu Ito was present

In my book, these two punks put the capital L in Losers!

Eh, they look tired and jetlagged, and "when is this **** OVER, so I can get back to the BIKE" probably like I would be... and it would be really difficult to get me out of my jeans and megatokyo t-shirt. There's a reason work keeps me in a cage away from the paying customers! Don't forget, Casey is also the only one comfortable/fluent in English.

Anyway, there's also a reason they call him the "Pedrobot" too. I think I've seen him crack a smile twice in 5 years.

they earn the big bucks because they are sponsored by an mfgr. part of getting and keeping that is kissing the ***** of said sponsors. if they don't want to do that part of the j.o.b. they could go back to privateering and remember what that was like.

Yeah well, that's always the part where I change the channel and one of the reasons I don't watch NASCAR, and why I don't buy Repsol oil or Dunlop tires.

How long before it'll be the, "Repsol-Dunlop-Burger King-U.S. Army-Honda" was really working well today......."

Yeah, race names like "the Dremel Tool 500" just bug the hell out of me for some strange reason. And also when someone is giving a post-race interview and he swaps out 3 or 4 branded sponsor hats, and I'm not exaggerating there, I've seen it in AMA Superbikes. I guess it's the blatant commercialism. I just roll my eyes, go "OH GEEZ!" and change the channel.

And Crash Cash, just how many races do you think we would see without the sponsors being involved? Of course it's not fun for us watchers, but racing at any professional level has to provide a marketing springboard for the sponsors or it fails.
