I like the fact that they point out the AE is not an automatic transmission bike. So many people and journalists make this mistake and I'm not sure why it's such a hard concept to grasp.

The new 06 seems very nice. When I wear out my 05 I'll have to upgrade. I still haven't seen anything out there in the ST genre that grabs me as much as the FJR.

The revews coming out now always seem a bit "fake" since they obviously just copy lots of information given to them by yamaha. In this review they brag about the instantaneous MPG (which obvioulsy isn't working on all 2006s), they mention the adjustable faring for relieving the heat- but actually moving the adjustable side fairings out catches the exhausted heat and redirects toward the rider -hence it is an adjustible leg warmer.

I want to read a review of the FJR sometime where the writer actually really evaluates critically if these features are working.

I guess in all fairness the writer of the Moto dialy did do a good job of evaluating the AE handling ect. :yahoo:

Hopefully Cycle World thinks it's worthy of evaluation. They seem to get it right every time
