Motorcycling And Hay Fever

For the last 45 yrs I have had hay fever very badly. It starts in August and ends when we get the first frost. Eyes that burn and itch, bad sneezing fits , nose runs constantly ( lots and lots of Kleenex) , head and sinuses very full causing headaches. All this lasts for 2-3 months. Real fun to ride the motorcycle with all that fresh and wonderfull pollen bombarding me. not !

Three yrs ago a fellow motorcyclist told me what he does. Once a yr he gets a shot of Kenelog , a steroid .

For the third yr in a row I too have gotten this shot and the results are amazing.

This yr when my hay fever surfaced I went in for my shot. Low and behold they where out of it , on back order . The next 2 1/2 weeks I was absolutely miserable with all the above symptoms X 2 . :angry:

I got the shot 2 weeks ago . Takes 36 hrs to act .

Since then I have not sneezed once or had to blow my nose at all. Eyes are fine no sinus problems . Zero trace of hay fever .

I'm sure others of you have this problem and might benefit also.

Don't you guys take anything serious . I'm tryiing to help those in need , don't you know. Still funny .

You should see me after the shot . All bulked up and a body of a 20 yr old with muscles on top of muscles. I think I am going outside to pick up my car in the driveway.

I suspect the Kenelog will not help you in bulking up but it wiil suppress the allergic response.

It will also cause Cataracts if used for a long period of time. Of course these days cataracts are a great thing to have especially if you have to wear glasses.

Sneezing inside a full face helmet can be messy. :alcoholic:

I am glad I don't suffer like those that get hay fever.
