I will be taking a new job and moving to Duluth next month. Have any contacts for rental housing? I'm trying to find something 2 bedrooms or more that will allow a dog and has a garage with power for me to work on the Jeep and car and keep the bike and tools in. Would like to stay within about 30 minutes of Duluth either on the MN side or WI side. Any leads are appreciated.

First, stay AWAY from the UMD campus. It is 50-100% over priced on comparable rents. Second, you mentioned Superior , WI as an option. It is the (ugly) step-sister of Duluth, so rent and space would be more favorable. I know two riding friends from Superior, and will try to connect you.

Googling Duluth MN Real Estate rental properties might lead you in the right direction.
Yeah, I've been doing that and checking Craigslist. I won't be over there until the 9th to look at stuff so I haven't called on anything yet.

I've heard Superior is the less desireable side of the boarder. In a perfect world I'll find somthing a few miles out of town, but that's preference and on the low end of the priorities. I'll PM you my contact info so you'll have it. I know asking around a lot of times brings better results that aren't available through electronic searches. :)

The two rider friends Roger Dodger refered to are Motorcycle Cops on the Superior Police Force. Great guys, good friends and excellent riders. If Brad or Todd give you some leads, they should be good leads. They know the area.

BTW, both live in Minnesota. Don't take this wrong, Wisconsin is a great place to live, but you might want to be cautious about living in Superior. There are alot of nicer spots around the area to live.
