Mt. Washington Run?

New England Friends,

Several of you indicated that you'd be interested in doing Mt. Washington with me on a day trip if you had time. I'm wondering how Friday, June 17th might work if we get good weather?

As alternates, are Friday the 24th or Monday the 27th better?

Fred, Alan, John & Gail, Dave, others; I'd love to see you a last time while out here, especially having missed the Chowder Run!

I would like to be able to make one of the days but I dunno if it will happen. This ride may have been put off one week too long, I hope to know more about what my future holds later this week. Mt Washington and CFR lie in the balance and it is out of my control.

I would love to make a run up Mt Washington with you before you head West. But, the timing may be a problem. That weekend of June 12th-14th is the Loudon Classic. The entire state of NH is over-run with pirates on choppers. Mt Washington is pretty far from Loudon, but is considered an "attraction" as you might imagine, so it could be a really long slog up the hill. Plus trying to get anywhere in central NH that weekend means running into their turtle pace parades. We could still do this date, if you really want to, and enough other folks can make it.

Friday the 24th I will still be in Nova Scotia, for the Aprez CFR run around the Cabot Trail, returning on Sunday, so tough to take Monday the 27th off.

If you have the inclination, the time, and the passport, why not make a run with us up to Fredricton, NB for CFR?

Or you could just hook up with us for the Apez CFR ride in from Fredricton to Nova Scotia? Lots of info in the CFR section if you will consider it.

[edit] and if you wanted to get in a few more miles than just to Mt Wash and back, we could ride the entire Mt Washington NERDS route (I need to test it sooner or later), which would loop us around through Stowe and back. The full loop is 5 1/2 hours of ride time, plus the ride up to Lincoln and back. That would be a long day...

Right now it looks like Helen and I could make the 10th. Barry may want to burn some time on top of Mt Washington.

Good news/bad news -- it looks like I'm getting closer to a paycheck for the first time in 18 months, but that means my free time will be gone.

Wish I could go Friday, Fred. I've got a key meeting in Hartford, unfortunately.

Appreciate the advice on the other dates. Pirates on Choppers sounds like a nightmare to me, so I'll be skipping the 17th, I think. May try and knock this off later in the month. Will update this post if I can find a date.

Hope to get to see you all sometime before departure west on the 30th.

I can't do the 17th, and will be gone to Disney the next week.... the next time I'd be available to try and get up the mountain would be Tuesday, the 28th, if you're available. Would love to get in a ride together before you head out west.
