Pretty nice, but it needs a compass! That way when your alternator dies when you are in the middle of no-where, you can take your compass off and walk to find help.

I monitor the voltage with the datel volt meter. I'm aware of the fact that I can't run everything at one time. I did have to resolve an issue with the factory grounds not being heavy enough to carry the electrical load. It's been running for over a month now with no issues. I carry a battery booster when I'm on the road just in case. I only need to run one set of lights at a time. It hasn't been cold enough to use the heated seats and grips. BTW the Zumo 550 can work as a hand held navigation so a compass won't be needed.

Nice job man. Just one comment: that antenna is butt ugly! <_<

Otherwise she looks ready to ride!

For local riding I also have a Wilson Silverload which is a 3 foot fiberglass antenna. I use the Predator 10K when I'm taking long trips on the turnpike. Besides the looks it functions very well. I get a range of about 20 miles which is superb. It will get out more once I install the linear amplifier. Belive it or not the antenna grows on you......lol.

WOW, and as we say in New Mexico, quontos (how much)? Beautiful job all the way around and would love to see it with the sheet metal installed. Awesome!

Ta heck with the cruse control, where's the espresso machine? :p

Sweet Jebus that a lot of loot. Nice work and I hope you never get a visit from the electrical gremlins.

What no carrier for a spare FJR?

Not my cup of tea, but well done for the work and $ spent.

Hi there, I must say impressive setup. I'm running the same bike and recently purchased the J & M setup with the bluetooth and gps interface. Took a stab at the install, but didn't go well. For some reason, I couldn't print the pics from where they are posted. Provided that you are willing/still have them, can you send me the pics of the install to [email protected]?

Also, I purchased some Hella FF50s and mounting brackets, but need some marine switches. I like the setup for yours. Where were they purchased from? Much appreciated.

I live in Minnesota and am getting ready for a Great Lakes Gold in about 4 weeks.

Thanks again,

Goldee

Sorry I'm just seeing your post. I suggest you google or use www.dogpile.com to search illuminated marine rocker switches. I actually forgot where I got those switches from. You want to get marine type switches so that they are waterproof. I used the Phillips HID brackets that were ordered from BLM with the lights. There are other brackets that work well and were made specifly for the FJR. You can do a search in the forums for them.

I hope that helped. I sent you an email on where I ordered various equiptment for my install. I had my install done all in one shot by Roger Sinclair in Richmond VA.
