Hi, I looked around and didn't see this thread started anywhere when I searched.....I looked everywhere. My '05 has 134,914 miles and runs great on Pilot Road 2 with 42 psi in the front and 40.5 in the rear.

C'mon everybody! Let's get this thread going! Post up your mileage and tire combination you run!

Welcome from San Diego!
I am glad that you brought up the topic of oil. I have no idea what oil to use in my bike. Any ideas?

I wheelie a lot, so my 2006 AE has 23,216 miles on the front and 42,116 on the rear.

Oil, did someone mention oil.

I prefer a multi use product, bikes cars. dogs, cats, people.

Hey, in those 134,000 some miles please tell us what the average MPG was. Thanks

<_< Hey I think this might be a *** at us who end up in NEPRT. :dribble:

My FJR only has 38,000 miles. I feel so inadequate. But the tires on it have 43,000 miles on them and they are going strong!

My low mileage '04 has only 70k miles, but I've run tires on it every mile of the way. Every tire I have had on it has gone from new to worn out except the one that took a broken beer bottle to the center of the tread. At no point has any tire failed not to wear out at the end of its life. Since I ride 2 up most of the time I tend to run 44 psi back and 42 psi front. If I don't diligently drain my compressor's tank and run an air drier in line with the output my tire pressure goes up as soon as the tire starts to heat up, then I run higher tire pressures. Also, if you are going to fill your tires, be sure they inflate too.

It always amazes me when I take off a completely misshapen and bald tire and replace it with a new properly shaped tire with good tread that my FJR handles better. I'm sure the two events must be related in some way. What is even more odd, it doesn't matter who made the new tire, the handling always get better anyway. In short, I do highly recommend tires, your FJR will always handle better with them.

I've gone to the darkside. I don't use tires, therefore I don't have to worry about air pressure and they never wear out. It handles a little funny, but you get used to it.

according your new rules, you've sent yourself to NEPRT. So shouldn't you dock yourself a Rep point?

Please be gentle I'm just kidding around. ;)
