Got a new concrete driveway poured today so I can't get the bike out of the garage. I'm really not looking forward to a week of driving the truck to work, but on the bright side, this will give me a reason to work on some of the farkles I want to add.

What, you just forgot the bike was gonna be trapped, and didn't move it out first?

And what's wrong with a couple of shallow tire marks in new concrete, anyway? Get up some speed while you're still in the garage, it won't even leave a mark!!!!

Now THATwould be cool... FJR tracks in concrete.. now is your opportunity to shine...

Not a problem. The cement will rinse right off if you don't wait to long.

Average garage is 24' long. Subtract 8' for the ramp. Add FJR acceleration...

How long is the driveway???

On second thought... a whole week without riding! Strip it and take it out the walk door or through the kitchen while the better half is gone to the gym.

:D You guys are pretty funny. The wife vetoed most of the above suggestions and I won't let my new FJR sit outside for a week. I have an enduro stashed out back in the shed, so I'm not totally out of riding opportunities.

Poor planning on your part Phil. I did the calculations based on Ashe's post considering average garage door height and clearance (be sure to duck)ramp slope, temperature and pressure altitude. You should land about 16'3" down the new driveway. Be sure to post a ride report with pics.

A week seems like an awfully long time for concrete to cure enough to move a motorcycle over. I'd figure more like a couple of days - as long as you don't put it on the side- or center stand, of course.

I would say 24 hrs after the poor. You wouldn't want to put the car on it for a couple of days, but the FJR should be fine.
