I just picked up my (new to me) 2006 FJR yesterday, and I already have a question. . . Can someone tell if there is supposed to be a bolt above the left passenger peg here ... and if so, what is it for?

Yes Sir, there should be. Just looked at mine and it has one. No worries...pick one up on your next group ride ;) J/K. Dealership should hook you up.

RLTW!!

Oh man!! Looks like I am gonna have to take that bike off you hands for 50 bucks! Nah, order up a bolt and spin er in- you go a smokin deal on that bike. Congrats on your purchase and enjoy. Be safe.

Yup, as others have said, there should be a bolt in that hole.

Dealer should have one for cheap.

Sorry to tell you this, but its to keep the RPM's in, now they've all gotten out. Happens to the best of us, mostly blondes.... :p
It still had some rpm's, because I let a few more out today! Thanks for the other replys.

Dealers never have anything cheap! A bolt that would cost me 50 cents at the hardware store will likely cost $3 dollars at the Stealership!

It may be Parts 9 and 10 off yamaha's parts website:

You can check here: Clicky

Just fill out the pulldowns for year/model, then scroll down the left side to: "Side Cover"
