Put a set of pipes on the older H2 and I'd bet that it wouldn't be embarrassed in the 1/4 mile by the newer version.
Or maybe use this version....

Ha... I just realized that thing is a 5 cylinder. Good grief, talk about a W-I-D-E engine !!! Seems like just yesterday when these things started showing up in the Waterford Kettering parking lot in the fall of 1970. I was 15 and it was love at first sight. I used to walk over to that little section of the parking lot just to stand and stare. My part-time dishwashing job provided no hope of ever buying one, but I enjoyed wishing. I loved the show after school each day: that screaming little engine sounded like no other. The only disappointing thing I remember about them was the ridiculous amount of blue smoke that they emitted while pulling wheelies across the parking lot. As a matter of fact, that poor parking lot sure took a lot of abuse. In those days, every other car that left after school had enough horsepower to rearrange the landscape at will. Those were the days...

Gee I was thinking the 1975 H2 as well. It just proves most of use are old. I think the newer bike is awesome.

Nice, nice, nice. I want an H2. The new one.!
Google up DC. There is one at a dealer in Long Beach for a cool 25 large.
That's not really all that much money. I paid 17.5k for my 91 HD Ultra Classic then spent 5k to make it run good.

****, I've practically talked myself into this one. Thanks, Bug. Thanks a phooking lot!

I'd agree that of all the bikes coming out in the last couple of years, the H2 is the one that stands out as really breaking some new ground. It's certainly not the bike for the track given how heavy she is, but for sheer audacity and mind-blowing HP, there's nothing better out there right now IMHO.

Actually he did a track day a few weeks ago at Thunderhill. Everybody had to stop by and have a look.

It indeed is a beautiful ride, but I'm disappointed they chose to rebadge it using the iconic H2. If it's good enough, it can make it's own history. It shouldn't even be called a 2nd gen. I pine for my old H2 every time I see one.

I don't think the original H2 - with any pipes, could keep up with the new H2 past 60 feet.

Did I read that right - it runs sub 9-seconds out of the box?

Holy Toledo!!!!

It looks like a spaceship/ transformer/ toy.

I'd love to hear it cranked up...

The H2 is over-the-top, so why not add an over-the-top muffler? A muffler for $1,500! Just hard for us mortals to comprehend.

It is Carbon Fiber but I paid the same price for the Akrapovic on my KTM however I needed 2 cans for that bike so I got a much better deal.

Ouch, it did hurt but I love the quality and sweet sound of Akrapovic.
