Been using it about a year with military boots to and from work (tan boots). You KNOW that black mark would show on a tan boot, and it did on the pair I had before getting the shifter skinz. Goes on in about 3 seconds, comes off in about one second, and works perfectly fine. Throw it in the saddlebag/topbox and it's always there for ya.Sure it's 20 bucks, but it's saved me from getting new boots, is wearable with ANY footwear I decide to use (when I change boots, I don't need to change this), and has lasted a year of daily commuting so far....Alexi
