2002 Honda VTX 1800R. Shaft drive, water cooled, fuel injected (with PCIII), ect., ect., ect. My only complaint: The rev limiter kicks in about 5K. Whole different kind of unbelievably comfortable ride. I swear it's like riding a 2 wheeled easy chair.

Put 30K in 2 years on a black one just like it. Added a Mustang seat and c model risers for comfort. Could ride it from sunup till sundown and want more. The bike for me was much more comfortable than the fjr...just not as much fun. If you are a peg scraper, I have got a trick that will help save your floorboards.

How much you pay, if you don't mind. It looks brand new! And how's the handlebar position on longer rides?

That seat looks like a feather bed! :D

This is as sissy as one can get ... two backrests? what's with you? change the avatar right away!

And I would shoot a midget if I saw one up close ... sorry, that's just me.

I paid $5,000 and it does indeed look brand new, thanks. The handlebar position is good for long rides especially with my wife giving me back rubs. :dribble: I ordered some set backs that will move the bars about 3" closer to me, that should make things perfect.

Lay-Z-Boy? They are comfortable, that's for sure. I traded in my '03 1800-R (that same color) when I bought my FJR. With the right pipes and map on the PC-III, it will do wheelies. The only reason I got rid of it was becasue I was dragging the boards too much. I still kind of miss it but know I enjoy my Feej more.

Well for the time being I have both, I'm not real tempted to corner carve with the VTX though it does have the right pipes (Roadhouse) and a PC III. This should start a **** storm: I have a car tire on the rear! They tend to average 40,000 miles per: The Darkside

I only notice it during low speed maneuvering and it holds a line better than any bike I've ever ridden. Road construction? Uneven pavement? No problem!

I still ride my SoftTail I bought new in the late 80's. I use it in our CMA ministry where it is the bike of choice with those in attendance and yes it still has its place. I like to take it out for relaxed "cruise" time. But it seems the FJR is the most used now. Two different bikes, two different styles. The HD has the Saddleman with saddlegel and single backrest but I ride solo. Nice VTX. PM. <>< :yahoo:
