I pickup my son at the airport in Vegas tomorrow night. Then Sunday we're off to Chaparral for some gear (new helmet, jacket fit test). I'm really looking forward to doing some cool weekend rides with him. He's a trooper for sure, but we'll see just how interested he is after a couple of all day rides. We've done 300 miles in a day (back when I rode a Magna 750 and he was only 6 yrs old) but my goal is to condition him for about 600. We're planning to take a trip to Denver at the end of the summer and hit some good roads on the way there. I have to admit, the idea of a SS1K certificate for my son is pretty cool, but I'm not sure he'll be up for it. We'll see.
Maybe my next farkle will be a DVD player and a Playstation.
