Can someone from southern Ca rideing an wingabao ride with you FJR folks, if I can even make it. Its a long ride in one piece even like I did the last time, I broke it up by leaving frm Visila then returning to MM2's place was a long day for me and longer for him having just got off work.rogerfjrfaster

Your always welcome Rog..bring the wing !!

Highlander, this'll be my second FJR Forum group ride (first was New Year's Day with MM2 and crew). Lots of folks on the New Years ride knew each other, and some didn't. Moreover, one-on-one interactions were sporadic and sometimes brief. So I came away with some new "friends" on the Forum; yet to this day I can't really attach a handle to a face let alone a name.

So I'm wondering if it would be all right if I brought along some of those convention labels you stick on your chest, along with some markers (maybe crayons would be better for this group :D ). That way at the rendezvous, lunch, and breaks, while milling, we can associate the three things (handle, face, name).

Good idea? Or am I just a crazy sonufabitch :dribble: for even thinking about this?

Jb

P.S. I can bring your favorite colors.

Absolutely a good idea. It has been done before. Sometimes we who have ridden together forget that hte newer members don't know everyone yet.

Yes you are, but so what? :dribble:

P.S. I can bring your favorite colors.
His favorite color would be "Cerulean Silver", also known as silvery-blue-graaaay.

How can a group look so happy after punishing themselves for a whole day and night? :D

And whatever happened to being incognito?

If you'll notice, the guys with the biggest smiles are wearing First Gear Kilamanjaro riding jackets. Just goes to show you.

Uhm, these two were on the New Years ride...Oh yeah, you missed it. Something about too much party on the "Eve"?

Sam and Loren should be on the Napa ride. Loren (Last Chance) has just begun riding with us. I think Nightshine (Sam) has been on 3 or 4 so I'm certain someone has pictures. Of course, those wouldn't be "Official" OrangevaleFJR/Joyful Girl photos.

Re: "Painman on the left", my daughters always told me I was a pain, my lovely and beautiful ex'wife called me a Royal Pain. Does that count?

Really great stuff, OrangevaleFJR! Thanks for the post. Here's the JB and Mrs. JB (who BTW probably won't be on the ride):

Hi Madmike!

I've got more pie plates from where that one came from! :D

You guys all have a nice ride up there in Napa, we'll see you all down the road at another time!

MM2 - Re: "Painman on the left", my daughters always told me I was a pain, my lovely and beautiful ex'wife called me a Royal Pain. Does that count?

+1. You too. Only difference is my current wife calls me a pain also. But not related to my call name....guess I'm just one big pain.. .PM. <><

"How'd you do that, JB? Are you some kind of computer god or something?"

Well, shucks. :blushsmiley: No. I just used the 3 x 4 plastic badge from a recent company function, then went into MS Word. I defined a 3 x 5 text box. Overlapped the Avatar jpg (defined for 3" tall) onto a side of that, set the margins in Word to the remaining box, and typed in the text.

If you PM me with your name (real) and a jpg of your Avatar, I'd be willing to conjure up a few more of these for folks attending Napa [no promises, though; I ain't that clever and may f**k it up, or just run out of time].

After the storm today I thought I'd check the forecast for next seek. All is looking good for Saturday (he said, fingers crossed and hopeful).

All of NorCal is partly cloudy, high temps would be:

Sacramento--69

Napa--67

Calistoga--66

Lakeport--65

:yahoo:

It will be er, uhm...invigorating riding to Moscowite Corners in the morning.

The mid to high 60's sounds great..... :yahoo: Just how invigorating is it going to be on the way to Moscowite Corners? :dribble:
