Painman, do you want to rendezvous and head up to the, uh, rendezvous together? I'm planning to find out when the restaurant opens and get there in time for breakfast. BTW, Mrs. Burleigh (Fang) isn't gonna make it after all.

Anyone else on this side of a bridge who wants to rendezvous ahead of time? I'm in Concord; Pain's in Antioch.

Is this a rain or shine kind of thing ?? I wouldn't want to ride down if it isn't going to happen. I am not sure if I can get my helmet on after some minor surgery but if I can I will be there.

Looks like I'm in with the blond on the back between me and the topcase.

MM2, O'vale, Ric in Sac, et al: are you Sacto area guys guys planning to meet up early to ride over to the corners? I always get lost in Davis trying to find Russell Rd. to get to Winters and 128. And besides, without electric gear, it's always nice to know someone else in the formation is cold, too. ;)

Ray, forecast is for partly cloudy, mid-60s. Prolly going to rain on Sunday. We're keeping an eye on Yahoo weather in case the storm front moves in early.

There was some e-mail discussion about breakfast, but nothing is settled yet. I'll keep you in the loop if that happens.....it'd be early as we'd have to leave Sac (rolling, not getting suited up) @ 0800 to make Mosckowite Corners by 0900.

That's why I usually take Covell Rd., but Russell might be easier. BTW, Russell is the 2nd off-ramp from Hwy 113 North. :D Cold? I'm hoping for low 50's when we start. <_<

Let's meet at the Chevron (?) gas station, Enterprise Blvd./West Capitol Blvd off-ramp. (I-80 West, just before the Yolo Causeway, exit right, turn left at the West Capitol signal, gas station is on the right.)

IF everyone wants to meet for breakfast, there's an Eppies just East on West Capitol (same off ramp, turn right at signal) or a Bakers Square (I think a better choice) on Harbor Blvd., South of I-80. From West Sac we can get right onto I-80.......45 miles or so to "The Corners".

Other suggestions?

Hey, I know where the Chevron is....Just so happens it's down the street (W. Capital) from where I go to work each night. Eppies is no longer. Restaurant is still open, but as a "generic" no name. Very little traffic/customers. Haven't eaten there for years and I agree that some other place would probably be better. There is a new Starbucks just across the freeway. There is a Denney's, Quiznos (sic), Starbucks and 7/11 in the Cul de sac just south of I-80 at the W. capital/Enterprise off ramp. also the Boston thingy and others on Harbor Blvd.

I think the weather will be great if a new storm doesn't come in. AND, I do have Gerbings. :clapping:

My wife will be otherwise engaged on that day and is enthusiastic about my participation in this ride. :clapping: Hmmm, I must have been a real pain lately if she is "cheering" for my departure.

JB, if you are making name tags, I have no Picture to send you but a plain old name tag would be better than nothing. :D

MM, I am planning on riding with you from Elk Grove. :specool: :bike:

I thought you might be talking to Thor :)

As for meeting up, if you guys nail something down for breakfast in West Sac we can do that. I was planning on gassing up at the Chevron just West of Winters on 128 so I show up topped off and ready to roll.

Well, I'll be pillion on this one, but, we won't have the camera! Sorry guys! The repair place sent it back "repaired" - with one of the issues not repaired. Blah.

I guess that means I get to relax and enjoy the ride this time! :) Looking forward to it!

IF we do breakfast it will be at the Bakers Square and it'll be early, like 0645 so we have time to meet at the Chevron and roll out by 0800.

I've never had trouble gassing up before I left home (or in W. Sac) and making it through most of the day. We can usually get gas at lunchtime.

Well it looks like Iwill be meeting everyone at Moskowitz corner and gulping down some hot coffee waiting on the out of towners. From my house in Woodland it is 43 miles to Moskowitz Corners. it is 18 miles from West Sacramento to Woodland or road 31 and 98 this will give you some kind of reference for fuel need or not need.

The weather forcast for that saturday, cool temps in the mourning around 41 to 42 warming up a few degrees by noon with overcast skys and those big culmulus clouds over head with 10% chance of showers clearing early afternoon with temps reaching the low to mid 60's cooling off as we approach the evening hours also with a possible chance of thunder showwers in the out lying mountain regions tappering off with clear evening and night time skys for Feb. 17th.

The above forcast is something like a professional forcaster would say, all B S

So lets ride see you Saturday weekend rider :D

Okay. So Sherri says she's up for early breakfast. I guess that means we'll be at Baker's Square at 0645.

The Corners General Store and Restaurant at Moskowite Corner opens for breakfast at 07:00. If anyone plans to come early for breakfast, let me know how many and what time you will show up and I'll give them a "Heads Up".

Make that 21...got a call from the dealers where my bike has been for the past 2 and a half weeks (that's the subject for a whole new post once I get my bike back) for a 1st service and a look at the instrument cluster because the dials don't always sweep (and there for work) every time I start the bike...

The good news was that they think they found a grounding problem that was causing the dials not to sweep sometimes...the bad news was that the technician working on my bike dropped it, and all down one side is damaged...they've put the parts on order but it's going to be 3 to 5 days before they get them in and then they have to fit them...it's pretty unlikely at this point that I'll have the bike back for the weekend...ride safe!

Hey, don't let that stop you from riding, nobody will notice a few scratches. Tell the dealer to have it ready for you to pick at a time of your choice and then drop it back off when your done. As long as there's no mechanical damage you should be good to go. Ride on!!

Holy crap, where was this? How do you think they handled it?

I’m still planning to attend the ride this Saturday. I’m guessing the ride from Fremont will take about 2 hours.

I’ve not been to Moskowite Corners before; is this meeting location a gas station or restaurant or other establishment?

Michael

It is a convenience store and restaraunt - not a gas station.
