Well I had some time off yesterday so I set offf from mobile to Natchez Ms. to ride the parkway. I have ridden the upper portion before so I wanted to ride to tupelo MS and make sure to stop and see the sights. I did. Made it to Tupelo as teh day started getting dark so I made a direction change to avoid the rain adn headed for Meridian MS. Then traveled down 45 to mobile. Whole ride was about 800ish miles. Had a great time except for the fact that it was dang hot. Oh and riding gear when your walking alot is just a bad idea when its that hot. Anyhow I have a bike covered with bugs to wash today. Most of the pull offs were simply signs talking about trees or creeks, but some were pretty cool. The indoan mound, the old church and the old house were my favorites. I will post pics when I get them all together. Anyhow i can scratch that off my shoft list,

I am about 2 hours from Nashville where the trace starts. Never been on it. How is the road? How fast did you ride? Any curves or straight? Thanks

Did it a few years back in a Vette. Not quite the BRP, but fun.

Pretty well patrolled at the time, but soo much history there, you don't want to do it fast.

Take your time and soak it up.

I ran the upper section through Mississippi about 5 years ago and yep, it was hot! That description is coming from one who lived in AZ for 15 years (yeah, I've heard about that dry heat), but the humidity down there was oppressive. Beautiful country, I need to get down there to finish the entire trace. Looking forward to your photos.

Dude, glad you had a good ride, but, I'm sorry that route had to suck.

Barry, or anyone thinking about the trace, my advice... Tupelo to Nashville, worth the ride but better options near by.

South of that, only if your going to (or leaving) Natchez / Vicksburg anyway.

Just my opinion, ride your own ride.

its a slow ride and very well patrolled. 50 MPH speed limit. You realy need to stop and see the sights. Roads are pretty straight and flat. I have ridden both ends and its the same pretty much, Soe slow gradual turns but nothing to get excited about. But the history is awesome.

I am not a computer guy so adding pics is killing me. I have no idea what a URL is. if I click the add a pic it asks for a linkl URL. My pis are stored in my computer

Bandit, Check this out for adding pics. You'll need to upload to Photobucket or a similar hosting site to do this. How to add photos info
