I can help with the REAL Navy- submarines. To begin with, the proper name for anything that floats is "target".

My career was in the Army, but I did get aboard the Wisconsin while with the Canadian Forces. All I can confirm is that battleships are BFBs.... Big Fuxxing Boats.
