Just thought I'd share a few pics from last weekend's 'Nawlins Air show, featuring the Golden Knights, Blue Angels, F-22 Raptor, and others. Just a small sampling of what was out there. Enjoy.

Was a really good show. Perfect day for a 200 mile trip on the feejer to catch the show, then caught some drag racing on the way home at Capital City Raceway, Irwinville, LA.

Nice

I and the local PGR are close with Captain Bill Snyder, CO at NAS New Orleans in Belle Chasse

If it wasn't for SFO, I would have been there on Fri

He's gonna put my name in the hat for a ride next time for Fri (VIP day) in #7 which is a two seater F-18.

Too bad you couldnt make the airshow...was nice, kinda breezy, and sunny as hell. Had a pretty decent crowd, and as usual, was a nitemare trying to get out of there with all the traffic.

yep, the Angels are amazing to this former Navy Airdale

think about this...the Thunderbirds fly 3-4' WINGTIP to WINGTIP separation in the diamond

the Blue Angels fly 3' WINGTIP TO CANOPY separation with overlapping wings

Virtual, Accurate Rendition of the Blue Angels...might want to skip to 2 minutes in

a thrill was flying a 2 seater TA-4 Skyhawk with instructor which is what the Blues used to fly way back when ('74-'86) and are in the diamond hanging at the Navy Air Museum in Pensacola
