...or someone willing to make something for me on theirs. My truck has a bushing that broke on part of the shift lever. Nissan, in their infinite wisdom, discontinued the part long enough ago that no dealership in the US has them. I haven't been able to find one in a junkyard or online either. I was wondering if any of you would be willing to donate a bit of bar stock and time once I get the dimensions? I'd think plastic would be cheap and easy, but I also know this sort of thing can be tricky. Basically, the part I have in mind looks like a stovepipe hat without the very top. I still need to get the inner and outer dimensions, but that shouldn't be too hard once I get my hands on a caliper. Rough dimensions are <1" diameter x <3/4" length.

When you figure out just what it is let me know. I can probably help you out.

Looking closer at the remaining piece of the old bushing, I'm having a sinking feeling that it was more a collar around the ball rather than a cup underneath it. I'll get back to you once I get those measurements. Thanks!

Yeah, I'd read through that, but other than the one guy saying a different part that he tried didn't work, nobody's said they found anything that does work. Also, no dimensions posted either. I'm just hoping my idea to go with a drop-in sleeve bushing will work as well as the collar bushing that was originally on there.
