Just noticed that my rear tire started showing chords - figures it couldn't hold off until after the weekend....

Anywho.... suggestions to get me one quick in the midwest would be helpful...

thanks

Guess you cut it a bit close.....

Many of the suggested online sources offer expedited shipping at prices commensurate with your tardiness.

Otherwise, a local dealer....or one on the way to your destination?

It's nothing that throwing money at wont fix! Just like taxes, if your late, you gonna pay more! :dribble:

yeah, no expedited shipping on tires or oil products.... motorcycle superstore said 2 days, so I'm crossing my fingers....

This is on the left side of the tread, I just noticed it today as we were going for a ride... so it just happened...

No chicken strips on my tires sir.... :)

I'll have the wheel off thursday night, over to the dealer on friday for swap, and off to the races after install...

:)

You know these black round things we put on our motorcycles have 'wear bars' as alluded to above. A casual inspection of those every great once in a while will remove the possibility of any 'surprises'. Unless that is you run a tire like Metzler that has no tread in the middle of the tire.

I know skoot skoot - I was laxed in observing how far I went past the wear bars..... entirely my fault no question

As of right now I'm chomping at the bit for UPS to show up with my tires...

Here she sits waiting in anticipation..... LOL sorry for the crappy pics....

New brakes, 30 mins to reasemble and I'm off to Road America for SuperBike !!!

Um, you know you don't have to remove the swing arm to take off the wheel, right? :p

EDIT: nm, looks like swingarm is still intact. Nothing to see here, move along.

I think it would be safe to say that you got your money's worth out of that skin!

That was the color of the never sieze. Spline was in tip top shape from the last tire change. I still clean it off wire wheel it. The never sieze is some stuff we get with parts in our service shop. Its really good stuff. Not sure why its that color as it does look rusty.

Holy smokes man! Looking at your standard of a worn out tire, I'll go grab one of my old PR2s off the junk heap and give it to you. Now I feel like I waste a lot of rubber.

What - you never wanted to race slicks ;-)

Well timing couldn't have better. Got tires installed as well as new brakes all around and all is well.

Races are awesome so far and twisties around the area are spectacular.
