Certifiable Old Fart
"Two years ago Lynn and I took a 17 day motorcycle trip from Johannesburg to Capetown. I wrote a blog on this website, under Ride Reports, "Planes, Trains, Motorcycles and Safaris".
As I described, South Africa is a spectacularly beautiful country, with natural beauty, abundant natural resources, and great promise, despite its history of racial tensions and political instability.
We visited Robben Island, the infamous prison within site of the beautiful city of Capetown, and the majestic Table Mountain, not unlike Alcatraz, in San Francisco Bay, with the view of the City. We went to Soweto, and walked through the house of a great man, who fought injustice and inequality. This giant of a man rose above it all to embrace peace, reconciliation, fairness, justice, and equality.
I believe AZ Beemers believe in these principles. Please join me, and the world in honoring Nelson Mandela upon his passing.
