Lost my '05 a couple weeks ago. It's time to order a new one but I'm can't pull the trigger. I'm recently divorced and having a wife that logged alot of miles on the back made the FJR a shoe in. I'm tempted to get a bird or even a vfr and getting fjr in a couple years when the bugs are out and aftermarket is up to speed.

The one big thing holding me back is wind protection. I drive in rain, cold and have never had a bike with such little protection.

HELP.

If you have to ask...you're not worthy. It would probably bring up too many sad memories. Damn dude, deer strike and divorce? Maybe you or the bike was/is hexed. Get a Harley. I hear they're real chick (and maybe not deer) magnets. Helpful? ;)

FJR's. They're not for everybody, just everybody else. Dare to be different. :alien:

At this time in his life he needs to re-evaluate his manhood and motorcycles. I think in this case, (Like the boss in cool hand luke he needs to get his mind right,) and ride what would be right for him at this time. I see it as a Suzuki Bergman. It is a quality bike, even though you have to step tru to sit on the saddle

good luck on your decesoionfor what ever you choose

:haha: :haha: :haha: weekend rider

What we have here....is a failure to excommunicate....get a supermotard bike and go a little crazy man...then when the wheelies settle down the willies, go get yer new '06 Feej Dude and fill that pizzle with a new schnizzle....uh oh..my moms coming, I gotta go !

Bobby :D

FJR or 'bird?

Helluva decision.

The FJR IS a bunch lighter (at least the non-blue ones). No doubt faster (again, the non-blue versions). Better gas mileage. Carries as many people. Maybe not as much luggage. Probably not as good weather protection. But CERTAINLY cheaper.

I thought they quit makin the 'bird, since it really is a piss poor seller. Not to mention looks like moist-ass-cheese with fumunda sauce. I mean, really...just compare the two. There's really no choice.

Does the VFR really have better protection than the FJR. I alwaysthought the FJR was good in the protection dept. ??????

Man, did you EVER miss the joke.

Or.....was I too subtle?

Nahhhhhh....subtlety is something I've never been accused of.

My comparison was the FJR to the 'bird...as in the photo, Thunderbird.

The only reason I can see you not getting an FJR is IF you want something ELSE!

Best Regards,

Shane
