My baby is eight years old. She has loved motorcycles since her first ride at six month old. (in a baby-back pack, riding in the yard) She has been begging for her own bike since her older brother got his first a little over 2 years ago. So this year, Santa is going to be goooooood to her!

check out the new bike

Kinda makes you wish you were just a kid again don't it? :yahoo:

Sweet!! Christmas is going to be that kind of fun in casa da Chornbe this year.

Probably something smaller little like that for the 10 and 11 year olds, and the XT200 for my 15 year old son and I to play around on.

she's gonna love it - try to take pictures of her face when she first sees it!

I would've given up every present for like 2-3 years (probably longer) to have gotten one of those as a kid that age... lucky girl!

I think that is part of the big thrill for me. Our parents were unfortunately never able to afford anything like this for us. I still remember that one kid in the neighborhood that was lucky enough to have a Honda Trail 70. He was the envy of the neighborhood for sure! Great guy, though. He always let the rest of us poor schlubs ride that thing. Man, did we want one bad. We dreamed and dreamed. When I sat on this little PW in the showroom it brought back all those great memories. The size and ergos remind me alot of that ole' Trail 70.

Being a rider, I have always considered the strong possibility that my children will follow (to some degree) my footsteps and want to ride bikes as adults. I hope that years in the dirt before they are old enough to make the decision to ride street will be a valuable asset to their decision making and safety later. Well, that is what I keep telling myself. Probably half that and half "I get to be that kid again." Just because I didn't have one when I was a kid won't stop me from living a second vicarious childhood through my kids.

Now the extremely hard part: Waiting til Christmas!

And bull, as soon as Santa gets here, pictures of the proud owner will be posted for sure!

Scab, looking forward to the pics of the happy kid on X-Mas morning. Try to include your daughter in some of them and remember to share the ride ! :p

Very cool! A small dirt bike was a dream for me when I was a kid. A friend of mine had one, but I was the youngest of 5 kids...we didn't get gifts like that (but I'd rather have brothers to go fishing with anyway). That said, I salivated of a 60cc Red Indian dirt bike at Ace Hardware when I was around 8 years old...oh how I wanted that bike.

I can't wait to see the pictures of her doing donuts around the coffee table!

I remember spending hours dreaming about a Hodaka SuperRat when I were a yungun....

The same way I now spend hours dreaming about being anyplace other than work.

Man.... That makes my daughter's Barbie Convertable Power wheels with a lawnmower battery look kinda shoddy.

J.K. I don't even have kids, but if I did, I'd send them to your house to play!!!!!

Scab,

What a great Christmas present! My dad is gone now but one of my favorite memories of him is him taking me to get my first bike when I was 13. It was a 1972 Honda CT70H that I put 3400 miles on in 10 months before trading up to an SL100. I always appreciated the fact that he had to deal with the grief my mom gave him for getting me "one of those dangerous things". Looks like you'll have some great family riding in the future. Enjoy.

And for her Birthday you can teach her what Farkles are?

Make sure to check the PW80 forum. I hear those things have faulty kickstands and heat issues?

Just kidding, What an awesome Christmas present!!

Mama would kill me if I did that :assassin:

But, Bikes just aren't in my daughters personalities (yet).

Actually, my kids are alien seed pods (must be) they look like momma and daddy but we don't know where the personalities are comming from (10, 7 & 4)

Make sure you have the dealer put it together so you are not trying to read the Japanese "How-To" book on the EVE :D

My daughter started at nine years old on a XR70. Then two years later she grew tall and graduated to a TTR125LE. Electric start the only way to go for the kids.
