Hey, does he not look like Aaron Rodgers?
Not really, there would be a huge defensive linemen on top of him and Rogers lost.......This guy WON!!!

Although he is sitting on the ground holding his helmet feeling like he did just get ran over by truck!!!

You might have something there.

"...like being in a UFC fight and then getting hit by a freight train..."?? Coughbullshitcough...Someone has never been in a real fight.

Um...It's like sitting on a motorcycle for a long time. What is it about these guys that doesn't impress me?

^^^^ would agree with that statement. I went from San Diego to Jacksonville in 44 hours, and I did not hurry and did it just for fun. But I have been more tired. He rode about 450 more miles, and I stopped to sleep in a hotel in the middle of mine... I am wimp though.

But, still it is cool that he beat the record.

Clearwater "Darla" aux LEDs, I noticed. For what it's worth.

Someone's probably never been hit by a freight train, either. ;)

Umm, maybe because it has nothing to do with eating donuts.

DAYUM...I really don't know how to respond to that. SacMike was funny. You were mean. "Meanie-Ambercrombie." Thats you.

BUT, donuts are pretty good. I like the filled kind. Raspberry jelly are one of my favorites. On that note, have you had a lemon pie from Whataburger? Holy ****, those are awesome!

Yep, that was an uncalled for mean remark. I guess my meanie filter took a break while I was still at the computer. No Whataburgers with lemon pie in these parts but I will keep my eyes open for a Whataburger next time I head South.

Just another Beemerboy attempting to look impressive. He's probably just trying to pick up the two chicks in the photo background. Let's see if he applies for a spot in IBR 2017.

(But I just barely got through an SS1K.)

Taken at face value, a 74.x mph average over 2,8xx miles on a motorcycle is extremely impressive to me. Trying to average that in a cage for even 4 hours is a huge challenge, so those numbers are indeed noteworthy. Even though he obviously had to exceed the posted speed limit coast to coast, I'm hoping that he did so in a well maintained bike, well within his personal limits, and with courtesy and respect for traffic and conditions in mind. That is the way I ride and I saw nothing on the trailer to lead me to believe otherwise.

Where I stray is the "support team". That takes a lot away from the feat. To me, averaging 65 mph, but doing it solely by yourself would be far more impressive. No mechanics, no phone call peeps, no logistics peeps, no bird dogs to scope the Popo and take one for the team, no traffic blockers, no spare parts and supply truck. Just you, your machine, the road, and whatever comes next.

Otherwise, its just another form of converting fuel to rotary motion.

If he was riding a push scooter and had a truck with a tow rope pulling him, would that be much different? (<<<<< exaggeration, I'm not THAT stupid.... he he he)

I didn't know the legal speed limits were that high all across the country.

In the trailer you can hear the conversation with a chase car or blocker or whatever that he would SLOW DOWN to 110. (@2:16)

Doing 110-140 across the interstate with blockers and other cars etc is just what the motorcycle community needs to improve our image. Better they yank his license and discourage these kinds of shennanigans. More respect for the guys doing it with the old bikes and just the open road. A 1600gt is a great bike but basically a flying couch.
