Saw this a couple days ago, new Cannonball record of 27:25, Red Ball Garage to Portofino Hotel.

On the other hand, perhaps Toman and Tabutt did exceed 175 mph.

Article didn't say but it's hard to believe they did the run on one set of tires.  Imagine hitting any 4 legged critter at those speeds.
