So, I was just reading about the Volcano Ride II that's coming up on the 18th, and went looking for info about Mount St. Helens and I came across a high-def cam image of the mountain. The image is far better than the old cam. Clicky

 
:good: I bookmarked it, and left a tab open on it all day yesterday. It looked like it was still visible when it should have been dark, but :dntknw:

Seriously, was the time shown on the camera correct?

An article in our local paper today says since it's install in 1996 the camera has been the most active site visited on the Forest Service's web system, averaging a million hits a month from all over the world. Seems the new camera and gear ($5000) was paid for by donations from ordinary folks like office workers in Jersey who start their day by pulling up the volcano cam. Maybe there's a few in California, too?
