My web developer has just finished a change to my web site banner. Please take a look and tell me what you think. I will be interested in what you have to say and so will my developer. ( Mastermind Designs )

That dude sure is having a hard time controlling the throttle :p

But seriously

I don't like the clicky sound effect when I mouse around (who's gonna jump that one?)

I think the banner looks good. I like the visual effects when you rollover the categories. The sounds seem appropriate as well.

A few nitpicks:

1) There's no sound when you rollover the logo. Seems inconsistent with the rest of the banner. Might even help to have a distinguished sound all its own.

2) What's with the credit card logos? It should be obvious that purchases over the 'net can be made with those. No need to give those greedy goblins any free advertising... if they want to pay you for the space, then that's a different story.

3) Should the sound be added to the elements just below the banner? I.E. the power commander, etc.

Thanks for the chance to be a critical bastard. ;)

Thanks for your comments. I have given my developer a link to this thread. He is a rider. He owns my old FJ1200 that I bought new in '89. Please keep up the review for those that have not posted.

I think the best thing you could do is to add a layer of organization. Between the Motorcycle showcase and all the products for a bike, you should have a second layer where you categorize things by:

Suspension

Electronics GPS, Comm systems and more

Hand tools

Electronic Tool Devices

Parts for the Body

or however you want to lay it out

When I go to your FJR parts and see 10 screens with many screens not having anything I am interested in, I lose interest and quit clicking on the next page. There are possibly things that I'd like that I've never seen.

That would be a good idea, but that is limited by the software. There is now way to do it with what I have and getting a new site engine would be out of the question. Thanks anyway though.

Garmin Zumo 550 Price: $861.12

HOLY HIGH PRICE BATMAN!

I talked to Jeff about that at WFO. He is a small dealer and they just won't give him the prices. His extensive FJR specific selection, competitive pricing on other items and the FJR1300 discount sure make him worth the visit.

irq77: You might want to make a note to yourself to never say anything remotely negitive about bike effects or skyway. This place will come down on you like a 12yo boy staying at Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch! :glare:
