Oh, God... Another clever way to separate the status-hungry greyhairs with ponytails from their money.

You won't see anyone under 50 there.

I imagine pulling up on an FJR would elicit cries of "get a real bike!" from dentists and accountants alike!

Oh, well.... Maybe I could get a ******* hot rock massage after a tough day of trailering....

See those hot chicks on the brochure? It's a total lie. I ride in NM. I live in NM and, with one notable exception, the chicks on bikes here make Georgia O'keefe look like a more supple Angelina Jolie.

Once. Once I saw a hot chick on a bike here--and I got busted checking out her Hayabusa....

Seems this is becoming more popular. Why, I wouldn't be surprised to see one opening in my own 'back yard' sometime soon. ;)

That's right. I would pull up on my FJR, and being a dentist, I would tell those grey hairs with ponytails to GET A REAL BIKE!

That is what you meant, isn't it? :****:

C'mon... I'm enjoying my stereotype here.....

How can you be a dentist and not own at least one Harley?

(I like dentists because I like my teeth....)
:D

I used to have more than one Harley. Even had more than one FJR. But the Harleys just didn't measure up to the FJR. No poser bike for me! Blood and guts knee draggin, that's for me. (<-- lie) Well, ok, if you handed me another Fat Boy, I might take it....

A motorcycle country club with $399 "standard" room rate and $1,000 annual food and drink minimum

No thanks. I'll stick to TWO, Blue Ridge campground and Willville. $15 a night for a tent space.

Yeah, but imagine the people you'd be hanging out with--talking farkles, alternators and best Power Commander settings, best tires and DIY maintenance tricks?

And the blissful night of sleep after a hot rock massage, undisturbed by the whisper of powerful, high-tech bikes slipping onto the highway like a fish into a current....

That would make it worth it the price.

You'd be amazed at the amount of private 'race tracks' popping up. Hell, there are several 'exotic car time share' groups now. Something like 10 large/year and you get to drive your choice of any number of Ferrari's, Lambos, Porsche's, etc.

If you stop and think about it, the concept is the same as a snooty country club.

That place will be packed, if done right. ;)

There's a lot of land around Datil and not a lot of people. It's on the eastern edge of the Plains of San Augustine (where the VLA is located).

This resort is more "smoke and mirrors' than reality from what I've heard. As not to slander myself I won't comment further.
