I received this today from an Ohlins rep...
"An additional shock for the Gen II FJR without hydraulic preload is in the works.
This will be the same shock as the current YA707, (adjustable compression and rebound) except it will not have the preload unit."
... "the new part number will be YA-036."
"The initial order has been placed, and we should see them here by late December/Jan 1st.
Retail price will be price code 16, or $875."
I've been very impressed with the quality, performance and adjust-ability of the Ohlins YA-707. Understandably it's been a bit of "overkill" for some riders who can't justify the additional expense of the remote preload adjuster. This latest Ohlins offering opens new possibilities for many people.
