I just signed the papers for a new 2007 Black Cherry that my local dealer had left over. He's trying to clear them out ("These things just don't sell around here") so he posted them on craigslist for what he claims is $1000 under his cost. I paid $10,669 plus $150 Freight/Handling, plus state fees (tax, title, inspection). From what I've read here I think that's a pretty good price. He showed me what looked like a legitimate "confidential dealer price list" that showed dealer cost as $11,699.

I got the last A model - he sold three in two days at that price. He does have a few 2007 AE's left that he will let go for $1500 below his cost if anyone's interested.

I can't wait to pick this thing up!

This will be close --> If MSRP is $13,899 the dealer invoice will be ~84% = $11,675 The dealer then gets a 2% hold-back from Yamaha = $233.50.

Sounds like you got a good deal!

Sounds as though you got a good deal. Once you've got a few miles under your belt, it will seem like an even better deal coz you're going to fall in love with the bike.

Wow ionbeam, it's a small world. I live in Texas, but I grew up in Plaistow, NH. Still have a close friend who lives in Sandown, rides a BMW RT about a million miles a year.

Maaaaaaan Im sooo jelous :angry2: , If I can get what I want for my 04, I would take a drive up to Rockwall and buy one of those 07 bad boys, and ride it back toAustin grinnen all the way :D . Well congrats because its only the BEST MOTORCYCLE IN THE ....WHOLE WORLD!

You're a lucky man Charley Brown but it's gone get much better when you start riding because it's tha best.

Hey you got a very similar deal to what I got. I'm a good friend of the dealer. Told him I wanted a 2007 FJR and he sold me the bike for much the same price. No prep charges. I got the bike late fall. Love it so far but only a few miles on it. Trust me 11,600 is NOT what the dealer is paying for them.

I felt guilty buying the bike for the price, so I got the YES program with it is so that the dealer could make a few bucks. After that the service manager tells me the bike is solid as a rock and they dont' have any problems!
