td,

Saw one today that was probably delivered this week (as in yesterday). :shok:

I guess it’s unloved, just sitting there on the dealer’s floor. :waaa:

Picked mine up today. I like it. It is very different. Nothing like my Burgman 650 CVT.

Select first and twist hard. The rear will light up! Very smooth fast changes at partial throttle. WOT changes are buzzy as the revs rise a few hundred RPM before the clutch bangs in. Much smoother shifts using same technique as clutchless upshifts on manual bike. Downshifts smooth but better with a little blip.

The bike is blessedly cool. Riding in 97 degrees there is no appreciable heat anywhere on you body from the bike.

Seat OK. Ride is firm and bike seems more responsive than the 05 with full wilbers kit.

Instruments OK. Screen OK, noise level same as 05 more or less.

Like the linked brakes! Stomp on them and the bike slows quickly with no dive.

Throttle a bit quick for low speed manoevers. Think the best method is to put pressure on rear brake to settle the bike. This will keep the clutch engaged and control speed to make things smooth.

Yep I like the bike.

Left my 05 at Tony's place to sell!

Picked mine up 6 July from D&H Cycle. Great folks there. I can see why they have so many satisfied customers.

Bike ran flawlessly on the 770 mile trip home. Put my AE in the zero defects column. (The operator has a few though.) Stopped in Texarkana and had Tony's guys do the 600 mile service. Another outstanding Yam dealer. A big thumbs up 10 for both D&H Cycle and Yamaha Sports Center ( Tony's).

The FJR is a little quicker than my RT. Sure is easy to crack the century mark on a roll-on pass from 70. Well that's what I have heard. He He. Effortless in stop and go traffic. Like Tripple, I felt no heat. I think it's a keeper.

Picked mine up Friday,7-7-06, from Tony and Thomas at Yamaha Sports

Center. Quality dealership and great people to deal with. I am a VERY

satified customer and will do future business with Tony and his crew.

The bike runs great, no complaints, and I love the paddle shift.
