I love my FJR and R1 but want a straightline rocketship. They are making killer deals on 'oy ZX14's but I'm thinking of waiting for the '08 Busa. Any thoughts on this horrible problem?
Well, the Busa will definately fit that description, although i didn't think it was that much faster than an R1.I love my FJR and R1 but want a straightline rocketship.
Dude, I love the way you think! I would love to have an R1 and a Busa/ZX!In response to the other responses:1. You can never have too much power. Just when you get used to what you've got, you want more.2. In standing quarter mile, nothing is (currently) faster than a ZX-14. They have shown that you can beat the f*ck out of that motor and it keeps going. Not that the old busa motor is a chump either - that thing has been boosted ten ways till friday and it is indestructable. Those high strung liter motors get by with a light bike, but that's about all. Besides, remember that all the rags generally state stock bikes - you need to either pull the secondary butterflies and fix the resulting leanness with a PCIII on the ZX, or for either bike, get an Ivan's gear-tricking chip. That's when the limits of a rotator cuff and its surrounding tendons can be explored...3. I don't think anyone on the upcoming busa is going to be embarrassed by any ZX-14 owner (stock to stock). They are talking ~200 crank hp on the new motor, and at 1340 cc it is not far off the zx "14" at 1352. I would guess that Suzu did exactly (and nothing more) than it needed to to get their bike to reclaim the crown again.I'm in Jupiter. We should ride some time-BD

I rode my super sport bike 850 miles this past weekend... average mpg = 50.1You don't buy/ride a super bike for the MPG. Never even considered it.
That bike is gorgeous!! It made up my mind!! Who did the work??ZX-14 :dribble: is the only one in my book

The new Busa is pretty fast by the accounts of articles I've read, but that thing sure is ugly! I had an 04 Busa and loved it, but based on looks alone, if I had to choose between the ZX14 and the new Busa, I'd choose the Kawi.
