Hi guys me & my boyfriend are newbies to this forum, do you have to have an FJR to be on here? We are thinking of buying one. Any advice?

The FJR has a fairly small passenger seat. You may be more comfortable on a Harley Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Just me 2 cents.

If you want the best you have to buy the best that is why I recomend:

IT IS A MUST BUY :D  :clapping:

Find one at a dealer you can actually "sit on" to see if the bike is for you (for comparison, assuming you have a bike already). Then, watch the ride planning section, post/message/mail whoever is organizing the event and attend one near you. That way you can talk with other owners, see what they have done to their bikes, get a feel for "why" we like these bikes so much. We've had a number of people come along on our NorCal rides.

Caution: You will be assimilated!

Hi Nitelife, what are you suggesting, my ample frame would be too big for an FJR? :p

If you will be riding two up, then the FJR should be great. My wife has spent up to 9 hours (with several breaks) riding pillion. That was a little too much. She said that up to 5 hours would have been OK. By the way, my wife is 5' and 110 lbs.

I love the 2005 FJR that I ride. It's now pushing 15,000 miles. There isn't a bike out there that I would trade it for. The Triumph Sprint ST is very good as well, but the side cases are much smaller than on the FJR. Also, my local Triumph buddies haven't been real happy with the Triumph service.

I've ridden on the back seat of my bike a few times and found it to be quite comfortable. The front seat is better though. See how your boyfriend likes the back seat. If he does, then you can ride the front seat and you will both be happy.

It's a great bike and lots of fun to ride.

That's sad news. No matter what they rode, these were fellow bikers who presumably had loving families and friends who will miss them terribly.
Live Oak Canyon is one of my favorite roads. The twisties are not TOO tight but still fun. The trees form a canopy over the road in places, where the sun can peek through making pretty shadows.

My condolences to those three families.

Love the icon, but what is it with chicks and cats? I mean, what do they have to do with one another.

Oh....

never mind.... :blushing:

As it turns out, the mapping bijective. Stated in a jucier way, the relationship is one-to-one and onto. Math guys should write more smut. I need a smoke.
