I sold my '06 FJR but kept the rack and back rest.

It looked like it might work on my Wee Strom, so I made a template for the hole configuration, pulled the grab rail/rack, removed the rubber mat, drilled, and used metric bolts 1/2 inch shorter with the spacers. Works on my DL1000 too.

The back rest makes it a bit tight for the passenger, but it gave me a larger base and anchor for my Cortech tailbag. Plus, I can still use it until I get another FJR....

I'm impressed by people who make and adapt things, especially those who use precision tools. My old shop teacher always said: The right tool for the right job." Is that a Husqvarna or a Stihl to the right in the pic?

zzzip - if you flip the backrest to the back side you can get a little bit more space out of it. I'd bet you could even get some 1/2" spacers and squeeze a little bit more ifn ya really wanted to.

Echo. It was to be a Christmas gift to my wife, but she says it is not her color....

Great minds think alike... I tried that, and it is still a little snug for her likes. But we don't do 2 up on the Wee, so I moved the tail box back a couple of inches on the Vee so it all works out.

Thanks for the suggestion.
