I am thinking of purchasing an FJR but have not ridden one. I have been riding the FZ-1 since '01 and now have an '06. I think the FJR would suit me better as I am now 62 and need the extra comfort and protection.

Any riders up in the NH/VT region be willing to let me take a look at your machine and possibly go for a short ride, you on my '06 and me on your FJR? I fully understand that most riders would not be willing to do this so I am just throwing this out as a long shot.

I hate to buy a bike without first taking a short spin on it.

I am in the Hopkinton, NH area just east of Concord.

PM me. I'm riding my 06 to Lincoln NH this weekend (weather permitting) from RI and I'm sure we can hook up.

Rumble,

Welcome to the nuthouse.

I don't live in NH or VT (some 'live free or die' staters would call me a Masshole)as you requested but I do ride up there regularly. My Dad lives in Bow and I get up to visit from time to time. I expect that I'll be up the second week of August. You may not be able to wait that long but if you're still in need at that point let me know. I've always wanted to ride a FZ1 but so far I only have experience with FZ1 mirrors.

When I know for sure that I'll be heading that way with my bike I'll PM you.

There are some other NH generous type FJR owners. You may get additional offers too.

Russ

Hi Rumble! Another NH neighbor here. We are up your way fairly often. I will also offer you a chance to sniff a FJR. The only problem is that by now my FJR isn't really a representative of Gen 1 or Gen 2 FJRs, check out my Garage.

As you sort through this site you will find we aren't shy about having strong feelings both + and - Certainly you will find everything to be over analyzed

I'm going to ping Cota95 and see if I can connect with him on his next trip up to Lincoln.

Nice FZ-1! Bright shiny eye candy that is a real zoom, zoom, zoom machine.

I talked to you awhile ago Ionbeam. I was interested in the Audiovox install...

Haven't forgotten ya! SpeedFreak, a neighbor just a few miles from me wants to do the same install.
Does your route take you through New Boston? If so, can you give me a very general ETA? I *might* be able to slip out and meet you, I work ~15 miles from there. That would give you a chance to see what the AVCC install looks like and a general idea of what's involved.

Yup...go right thru New Boston on rt 13. I should be stopping in Milford around 7:30-7:45 am Friday for breakfast (the wife is riding her bike up with me and does not take kindly to not being fed  ). Then I will be continuing to New Boston and then possibly meeting up with Nice Rumble. PM me if you have any interest.

Cota along with his wife Marcia on her shadow and Ionbeam stopped by to show me his new '06. As Ionbeam has an older model it was easy to compare and contrast all the new features. Definately nice machines and as soon as I get my '06 FZ-1 sold, I will be looking for an FJR. Definately cool riders. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and let me take an up close look.
