I was talking to the owner of the local Suzuki shop three weeks ago. He had laid off all employees except one mechanic and his wife. The man said he hoped to survive the winter and further hoped business would pick up in 2010.

He must have seen the writing on the wall, because I heard a strong rumor they are selling their stock and closing. Not having any 2010 street bikes on the floor would have been tough... that means only Kawasaki in town if true. Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Harley dealerships gone in this area....

Just a couple new Suzuki dirtbikes in the USA this year.

Times are tough.

Local Yamaha shop ain't sellin much eithor. Mostly 4 wheelers. He's even got "leftover" 2007 big V with 10 miles on the clock.twin

Wow. I just went to Suzuki's website and every model shown is an '09 so you may be right. It's tough out there for everyone. All I know is I love *my* Suzuki! ;)

the Zook Canada site has 2010 bikes posted. No, not a lot of changes, but the '09 GSRX 1000 had a lot of fine tuning changes and they have also given the Bandit a bit of a switch up for touring as well in 2010.

Maybe they don't have anything new because what they have isn't broken so much, like Honda's lineup.

IMHO, Ducati is doing some exciting stuff, sexy as hell.....pricing and accessability is coming in line with North American realities.

Suzuki gets 2nd spot for me, as the GSRX's are not far behind Ducati for looks and performance. Then add the Bandit lineup of bikes and the Gladius/ GS500's for beginner to novice riders.........smart.

Kawi keeps the beginner to novice crowd well cared for, but the Ninja14 and the C14 don't do a thing for me. The ZX10? yes, but I'd still take the 750 GSRX over it any day. Now, their Supermoto? Thats a whole nother story :)

Rec dollars are in short supply for everyone, I think one manufacturer that has to smarten up is YAMAHA, yes....yamaha. The new R1 is butt fugly, and another silver FJR? *yyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawnnn*. I think we spent all of about 8 minutes at the Yammy booth at the Seattle show, mostly to oogle the Rossi replica; there was nothing else to see :(
