Hmmm I checked both the U.S. & Canadian websites and can't see a 2008 Vmax in the models available. Is it going to be a surprise, late in the year, introduction? Look out Suzuki B-King?

It would be no contest - looks wise - IMO.

They are skipping this model year, and the new version will be an '09. This is the second time V-Max has skipped a year since 1985.

I've ridden a V-max, what a honkin' good time! But between the B-King and the V-max it almost looks to me like they are competing with the BMW-GS for the "drug a magnet through a motorcycle wrecking yard" look.

Is it just me or are those the most ugliest ear-muff side air intakes you've ever seen? Same thing happening on the 1125R Buell.....is this the new design for intakes? :bad: PM. <><

New design for intakes??? Seems like they has been a V-Max trademark since its inception.

Yeah, the v-Max always had appendages for intakes, but they are exaggerated on that new model pictured above. The Suzie looks a lot better to me.

Hopefully, some of the design elements will be toned-down in the final version. The exhaust unit looks reasonable, as the Gen1 had the pipes below the powertrain cases . . . almost impossible to lift the bike with a jack. Length of the radiator on the prototype appears to be overkill, also. At least it will have radial tires and EFI!!?

Having owned a Max for close to 10 years, I can state for a fact that you don't own or ride one for looks. If you want point and shoot fast, crank the throttle past 6500 RPM, and PRAY!

That I could live with. Besides, if your going fast enough they couldn't see you anyway I guess..... PM. <>< :D
