Non-Lithium Battery Operated Wireless Intercomm?

Here's my question:

I would only use a wireless intercomm system once every few weeks/months so I'm looking for one that takes standard batteries (any size: AA AAA 9 volt or similar). Does such a thing exist? I can't find one so far. It would be even better if it had most of the modern capabilities such as bluetooth phone connection, etc.

As wonderful as lithium-ion batteries are, they're not going to survive the kind of occasional use/charge that I'm likely to give them. Almost all of my electronics are bought with the idea that it MUST have a replaceable battery so that when I'm on the road somewhere, I can simply stop and by a new set - no charging time required, no dead battery after sitting idle for weeks or months.

Any info?

Why not use a wired system? No batteries at all. Just hard wire it to the bike.

Along those lines, the Sena can be plugged in while in use. So completely dead you are good to go.
