I thought that I'd add a good word for my local mom & pop shop... which by the way, seems to be gaining notoriety in the race world.

This bike seems to be gaining notoriety around this area, too & thought this might help local owners.

Whenever I've got something going on with my bike & isn't dealer/warranty related, I take my bike to Jody & his small crew at Cycle Trendz.

I just got back from picking my bike up from his place. I had it looked over after my ditch surfing incident to be sure that there wasn't something that I missed & be sure that it was still structurally sound & as I had suspected, it had only cosmetic damage. Also, my insurance company was notified that there were things missed on the original estimate & they specified that it needed to be in a shop for them to take a look at it a 2nd time.

Off to Cycle Trendz I go. I've been dealing with these guys for several years. They did all of the work on my first bike & still remain as my favorite local shop.

As previously mentioned, I picked my bike up today. The original work order had no charges so I asked Jodie about it. He told me... "ahhh, don't worry about it" I was amazed. In these days of "get every cent that you can" Jodie let me go w/ no charge. Even after my bike spent 7 days at his garage until I could arrange to pick it up.

Also worth mentioning... I don't think that there is a cheaper shop in this area to swap out tires. At my last tire change he charged me $38.00 to swap & balance tires on the bike. Pretty good for around here if you don't spoon your own.

Their website is Cycle Trendz

They reside at:

3700 Hampton Blvd, Norfolk

Tell Jody that Heidi sent ya'.
