Nose Art

I'd like to put some "nose art" on ole' Maxine. You know, like the nose art on aircraft from WWII. Anyone know offhand of anyplace that might sell decals or the like. I'm considering trying a local artist and have him just paint it on the bike directly.

An example from a B-17G - Aluminum Overcast - of my Dad's squadron, the 603rd of the 398th Bomb Group.

Well, I ordered 2 of the nose art decals and separate one that says, "Lorie." I showed Lorie pictures of what two I ordered (2 of the lease objectionable I thought).....I got pretty clear, concise, and pointed direction that I wasn't putting those things on my bike! There are kids around that could see that, not acceptable, and more guidance - delivered with some heat - to that effect. Guess I'll just be putting the "Lorie" decal on ole' Maxine. Lorie did say later that I could put them on if I wanted. HAH, I'm too smart for that - actually if Lorie is that opposed to it then I reckon I'll go with her initial reaction and...hmmm, maybe I can stick 'em in the garage!
