Okay well I hope this isnt the begining of ticking but this is what happnes on occassion. The feeling is like when you have a nail in your tire and each rotation the tire hits the road you feel a little 'click' vibration through the handlebars...at about 8mph. This is what it feels like but its not the tire its coming from the engine. Like something is scraping a little bit.

What do you think? Am i overreacting...or this the begining of something that will worsen? If it is "ticking" what do the repairs run and i asuume if you dont have the YES then ill be paying for it...

Thanks

Lift up the front tire (bike jack or centerstand w/somone-thing on the back to raise the front) & spin the tire to see/feel whats going on. Might be obvious- rock in tread, ect.

Yea thanks...ill check for something...I just did enough reading on the "tick" to give myself a headache...based on the sound profile online i dont think its the tick...so whatever...we'll see.

Its very easy to remove the timing cover on the right side, put a wrench on the crank and turn the engine over by hand. This allows you to listen for sounds that might be coming from any rotating parts in the engine without having to hear them over the combustion and intake noise. And if you hear it, you can tell if its happening once per revolution. If the noise is combustion related, it won't happen doing this but there are lots of rotating things in there that might make noise.
