Came in from making tracks with the FJR, got a quick refreshment, then hopped on my dirt bike for a short ride. WOW, huge difference in mass. Hadn't been on the dirt bike since getting the FJR this past Saturday. Really noticed the difference.

No complaints about the FJR, just WOW what a difference.

I noticed that same thing when jumped on my 1977 BMW R100RS after riding the FJR for a month. For the first time, my BMW seemed light! As for the people givin you crap, flip em off :****:

You're talking about several hundred pounds of difference, but the feeling is the same hopping off the FJR and on the ZRX.

Makes the ZRX feel like a minibike on steroids. WOO-HOO!!

I guess it did sound kind of dumb stating the obvious; there is about 350 #’s of difference in weight. It’s just that I haven’t ridden street bikes since the early eighties other than 3 or 4 test rides before buying the FJR. Got it this past Saturday, have ridden it at least once a day ever day since and when I got off the FJR and hopped on the dirt-bike the dirt-bike felt more like a bicycle than a motorcycle. I should have expected that; however, because of my enthusiasm for the new toy I just wanted to talk about it.

Thanks for the replies and support. And by the way, I’ve never joined a forum before. I’ll work on coming up to speed. I’ve got to learn how to post pictures, smiley faces, and such.

Great forum, gobs of information, good folks.

shokdimn, you ain't the only non-einstein on here. relax. E=mc2.Try it.Makes great lemonade.

If you want a shock spend four to five months of winter driving a mini-van, then hop on your bike and whack the throttle. That will open your eyes!

Remember a few nights after getting mine, jumped on the ol'lady and damn, the bike was way more responsive.

Yep, my YZF250 is a feathery 206lbs dry. It's a mountain bike with an engine and a foot of suspension travel.

I wish the FJR has the output per cc that the 250 has. Can you say 192HP!?!?

ROFLMAO!
