I'll be at the show early Saturday and have an FJR label in my hatband,, easy to spot so say hello
Ill probably be there in the afternoon. Ill have a green STATE racing hat on. (Sorry, no FJR specific gear yet.) Youll probably be able to spot me drooling on the new concours 14.

Anybody that is there on Friday night try to stop by the FJR display around 7:00 PM. I plan on being there when the show opens or shortly thereafter and will head to the Yamaha display at 7:00.

Jestal, I'll look for you there if I'm still around at 7. If you wanna hook up earlier I'll be the bald guy with glasses and behind the ear hearing aids checking out the umbrella girls.

I might go on Saturday in hopes of previewing the 2007 FJR. I already have one reserved, but won't be taking delivery until June due to budget constraints :( . I'll be the tall skinny guy drooling on the FJR that looks too young and scrawny to be riding it :) .

Just got back from the show but found I had left my camera at home a week earlier- 129 miles away... Lots of bootiful girls in attendance, :dribble: 3 cheers for the AB Rocker and good nutrition !

The poor 2007 black cherry FJR was a sorry mess, all finger prints and the paint kicked off the top of BOTH the sandle bags!

None of the other machines at anyones display looked as neglected. Saw lots of bikes getting mounted from the high side at the show, which along with all the traffic the FJR was getting could account for its dismal condition but still... I'd look elsewhere for a machine if I wasn't already in the know. Someone from Yamaha needs to give their show reps a can of polish and a smack in the head.

Only thing I found wrong with BMW's R1200R in black was Ducati's red 1098 ! Can't make up my mind which I'd enjoy more for an around town bike. The Beemer got most of the daydreaming on the foggy ride home though. I think a dealer demo ride is in my near future followed closely by a much thinner wallet.

Ural's quality appeared much improved over last years models with much nicer hardware holding the bike together. They keep improving like that and a few more years may find a Patrol joining the fleet for winter use, I think they're pretty cool.

Made Yamaha my last stop, hung around hoping to meet Jestal but couldn't hang and ended up leaving around 6:30. Show was compact enough that 2 hrs was plenty after a 12 hr day at work and a 130 mile drive in rain and fog to get home. Entered several drawings ( wish me luck on the MV F4 1000 and Edelweiss tour! ). Also took the opportunity to finally become an AMA member, they made it easy and the older couple manning the booth was so nice I hardly noticed the 39 bucks leaving my wallet. Besides-I'm gonna win that AMA F4, right ?

****! I thought it was next week

I suppose I could head that way tomorrow, but I'm curious, are there any reps from Yamaha there? Last year was a wash as far as gaining any new knowlege, I knew more than the boys in blue. :dntknw:

Anybody going Sunday?

:jester:

went Saturday early as planned. That Cherry Red 07 sure looked like it had seen some rough roads.

I was outside before I realized I had not seen any Triumph display. Did I miss it or was it just not there?

Snap, now that you mention it I believe they weren't there. The 675 is one of my favorite sportbikes, had I seen one I would have thrown a leg over and re-lived the several Reno demo rides I took on a couple during WFO-5.

Didn't miss them until you pointed it out just now. Too bad, the new 1050 Tiger is high on my easily distracted mental check list. <_<

Well, in a word....nope. But you can ride it after I win it. :yahoo:

IIRC, from the reports from all corners of the country, Triumph was a no show at all the events. The Norge felt lighter than the FJR but you definitely sit "in" that bike. The only bikes that I saw anyone polishing at San Mateo were the BMWs. There was a young man in a BMW shirt walking around their area with a can of spray polish keeping the pannier scuffs and gas tanks all polished and shiny.

Well MM2,I'd be all over it like Daffy Duck if I won it ! If I can't have it then I'm glad you will, my chances for a ride just doubled. Thanks for the ride offer !

This wasn't at the NOVI motorcycle show but I thought I would show you what I saw at the TORONTO bike show
