NWS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xorQyl121I...player_embedded This has really been cracking up the ADV and BMW GS guys!

It's a television show in England where these two blokes, emulating Ewan and Charley, attempt to navigate to the faraway pub!

Really helps if you can comprehend British; perhaps we can get Fairlaner, RogDeb or Silver Penguin to translate it into American!

That about sums up my opinion of them too. I liked the support caravan for their 'adventure'!

I read the book, and never saw any need to see the movie. Too much falling over and cursing. Nowhere to spend their money.

I have to admit that I'm a sucker for Long Way Down and Long Way Around; yes, it's contrived and if we all had unlimited bankrolls we all could have done the same thing. But, it's four hours of great scenery from parts of the world I'll never see!

Ah satire! I have spent Way Too Much Time watching these travel logs, according to my other partner in this Wifedom!

I am with you on that one. Although LWR was better than LWD by far.

The funny/ironic thing is, Richard travels and acts that way on rides with us. Now I understand. :p

**EDIT** Don - Add NWS to the post would help.

I had to watch the last two episodes at home. Now I learned a great deal from this series. :yahoo:

1) I now know why Fairlaner enjoys golf.

2) A spoon is a valuable tool for wrenching on a bike.

3) The Brits have a great thing for Bust, Anus-Ease. He could probably use it for the razor burn. :dribble:

Bluesy, I saw your post yesterday evening. In the middle of the night it bothered me and woke me up thinking about this.

Need to know the answer to this: Which of these two do you think that Fairlaner is, Ewan or Charley? I've got to know ASAP!

Fairlaner is definitely Ewan. ;)
But....

He does have some Charley in him too. Fairlaner has his moments.
