I'm detecting the hints of an upcoming "Man-ear" competition... not to be confused with "Man-zear" a la Seinfeld... or maybe it should be "Ear-****"....

Talk about having to make choices!

I've been reading through this thread and am getting cranked on the idea of coming out for this little soiree. I haven't been in the Utah/AZ canyon country for years and then it was in a cage. I'm supposed to go to Canaan Valley, WV for the Concours Owners Group National Rally, then do a really long one to the Canadian maritimes, all starting out from here in Oregon.

On the other hand, I think the Western deserts provide some of the greatest riding in the country. Not necessarily a lot of twisties, but it's the kind of country where you can get your head screwed back on correctly, y' know? Ever slept out under the starts in the middle of the western desert? UN-believable! I highly recommend it for any of you that haven't. And don't hide in a tent! It's a light show worth seeing. The sky is on fire at night. As Carl Sagan used to say: "Billions and billions of stars."

Anyway, I'm gonna try to make this one, but I'm not to confident. I've been trying to connect with you characters for a year now! LOL.

Bob - good to hear from you. Thought you might have totally defected to the Concourse crowd, given your divided loyalties... :D A few of us from the Portland area are already scheming a group ride down. PM me if you decide to make the trip and wanna join us. That goes for anyone else coming thru Oregon on the way down, too.

Hope to hear about room rates and when we can make reservations soon....My first WFO & ready for some good people & good ridin'....

Patience. There are several details that are being negotiated and worked out that have a considerable bearing on things... We are close to announcing, but not just yet. Stay tuned.

Relax, dude. I have a call into the Governor to see if UDOT can pull down all of the ARMCO before you get there. K? The good news is, you can leave your DOT/Snell rated doo rag at home. :)

Doo rag? I thought that was a hanky, I blew my nose in it when ODOT passed out in the parking lot at WFO-5. :cray:
