Have paid 2 each 10.00 fees by Paypal and have received 2 each codes but not yet a code number to make reservations at the Reno Hilton for lodging. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?? Please advise anyone who can help.

Reno Hilton Now Taking WFO-5 Reservations!!!

I just got off the phone with the Reno Hilton, checking on whether our event is "in" their Reservations System yet... and it is!!!

Those of you who have paid your rally fee and have received your email with the specific toll-free number (and your Reno Hilton group rate code) can now make your reservations.

Failure to identify yourself as being with WFO-5 group, and/or not providing your Room Rate code when making your reservations will result in you being charged full mid-summer room rates!

And I've been pondering how to stage WFO-5 if we get hundreds of bikes.........
If hundreds of FJR's show up, have them line up in such a way that it spells WFO5.
Oh, goody! Can we do synchronized swimming, too? :haha: :D ;)

J/K

Would like to see some seminars, though. Radman could do one on sensitivity awareness. ;)

Next...
I'll save that for the proposed track day, where I'll ride circles around you. :p
No doubt. I'm an old fart, ya know. ;)
Thats no excuse, plenty of old farts are very good track riders. ;)
Not me. Never been on a track. So, you wanna follow me then, right? :D
Only until the point where you leave the blacktop and start heading toward gravel.

My group Hotel discount email was in my bulk email folder... Yikes!

Also, is the rate good for the days preceeding the event, if we want to show up a day or two early?

YES!!! I worked it such that they will honor the WFO-5 rate for the preceeding couple days, and a couple days afterward.

This is only valid for those who attend WFO-5, have paid their rally fee, etc. (i.e.: your name has to be on the official WFO-5 attendee's list I provide the Reno Hilton reservaton system. Otherwise... it's the full room rate they normally charge during the height of tourist season)

Thanks Dale,

It's done!!!

I booked this morning for 4 nights from July 27th. And as you said got the $79 rate for all 4 nights. They knew exactly what I was talking about when I called and the woman taking my reservation sounded 'HOT!' If one can 'sound' hot! :)

A quick review of the the WFO-5 database shows about a half-dozen attendees are from Texas.

After one week after announcing, the total number of WFO-5 sign-ups is fast approaching the 100 mark! :D

They can sound hot. We have a dispatcher who could be retired by now if she was a phone *** operator. And she was quite nice looking when she was in her teens, but...Another one sounded better than her and couldn't make a lap walking around the station due to her obesity. But hang on to the fantasy. Anyway, back on track. All registered up and ready to make some reservations. Some sweet group rides to look forward to fer sher.

I still say that being in Reno, we have GOT to get the casino to stage a FJR owners No-limit Texas Hold 'em tournament one evening... say $40 buy in... would be a blast....

That'd be fun. You've got about the right buy-in amount, too. Make it easy to afford, so that more people have fun. Hard-core poker players can always find a "regular" table.

I agree. People really shouldn't abuse the quote feature. :agent:

:haha: What, didn't you read the fine print? ;)

Oh, and Skooter? You would be the one to 'hypMOtize'. Me on the other hand would hypNOtize. Freudian slip, I presume...

And don't go back editing your or Woody's posts.
