Anyone have anything planned in the tri-state area?
You just missed the EOM meet...

What did you have in mind?
Sucks to be me. :)

I actually picked up my bike on Thursday but it was still to short a notice to make it down for EOM on Friday. Plus, that fact that I still don't have my bags (read:bad dealer experience) would have put a dampener on the what to bring and where to put it situation. :)

In general was just wondering if anyone in the (relative) area had any rides planned weekly or one off. New to the area and don't mide traveling a bit to hook up with people (within reason).

Was contemplating riding out to CFO. :)

Smitty141 is having a ride in ARKANSAS at the end of the month. That's sorta close... sorta.

I may blow through KY toward the Dragon some time in October.

There are lots of us around, including KYFJR and others...

I know my next couple weekends are gonna be hell, but I've got heated gear and will ride, oh, until the snow files... :) So there's still plenty of time to have some fun.

Break that thing in, you're surrrounded by some great roads.

I am wanting to do a little organized ride around the Indiana Hoosier National Forest.

Nothing fancy.

But, nothing firm yet.

Several have expressed interest.

I am guessing we might get 5-6 bikes about 50/50 2-up.

But, I think it would totally depend on people's schedules.

Weather for Sunday, Sept 17 loooks nice.

Maybe meet up in Columbus, 46, to 135 south, to 58 west, to 446 north, to 45 east, to 135 south to Nashville.

It's about 3 hours including a rest stop in Bloomington.

So if we meet up around nine, we would ride till 12 and find lunch in Nashville.

After that, some could shop. Nashville is a tourist trap. There is a shop that sells Toogs rain gear.

Or, explore some local roads.

Ninava is a neat little technical loop.

Bedford, Shoals, Frenchlick, Paoli all have good roads.

Or, out of staters could pick best roads to wander home on.

If that sounds good to anyone. Speak up and I'll send out a few PM's.

Otherwise, I'll push it out a week or two.

If you're planning on a non-xrated run <insert grin> 50/50 2-up I'd most likely be down for coming up there. I won't know for sure until about Thursday If I could make it for sure but I'd say put me down for 70% yes at the moment. :)

That sounds like fun and I could bring the wife along too. Don't think we could do it this weekend though.

September 24 (Sunday) work better for you guys?

Cool little EOM logo in the signature. Did you make that?

Can you do one for 2005 also?

Yes I could ;) I'm waiting for Slappy to decide if he wants to make them part of the site, I think he should, I'd be happy to make them for WFO and CFO too.

How's this?

EOM2005-2.gif

Assuming it too was in NC, cause I wasn't there ;)

2005 was Deal's Gap. Close enough. Thanks!

For 2006, it would be neat if the bike were laid on a US-421 sign or a Snake.

For 2005, having it laid on a dragon logo would be the bomb.

For each meet, I was in 5 or 6 states.

Just a thought. Now I just need to figure out how to get them in my signature.

Hey dudes....if you could wait a couple more weekends I/we (christy) could make it as well. I would feel bad leaving the kids this weekend again!!! The guilt trip is over-powering!!! (mushy part)

Quicky - did you get those D&D's on yet? How loud? And why? Just curious...I think I'm falling for the Muzzy's myself...

Rene- that is a cool logo...slappy should put out there!

Kids, Schmids... It's not leaving the kids I'm worried about ;)

Oh, week (4) I'm going to Pittsburgh with some buds for the Bengals game (Whoot!)

1. It would be awesome to ride with you guys again.

I'll probably be hitting this route several times before Halloween.

I think I'll just go ahead and hit it this Sunday morning.

Then again in early October.

So, if anyone wants to meet up this Sunday (9/17) just PM me.

I'll be riding, even if it is solo.

I'll set another date soon. If anyone has a prefered day, just post up.

Sunday mornings seem to offer the best traffic, but Saturday could happen to.

Angela will likely come along this weekend if other ladies are involved.

2. Yep. the D&Ds where waiting for me when I got home. Easy mounting.

One or two notches louder than Slappy's Holeshots. My dog didn't give the bike a second thought with the OE cans. Now, he wants nothing to do with being around the angry growling animal that lives in the garage.

I picked 'em up used. The price was just to good to pass up. It is gonna take a couple rides to decide if they are keepers or not. If it gets in the way of the Starcom functions, they will be up for sell for cheap.

It's a trade off. A little less weight, a little more performance, but more noise, and they aren't stainless.

It does seem to rev a little quicker now.

I think the growl tells my brain that I'm going faster.

I'm sure thats why aftermarket pipes are so popular.

The verdict is still out from the butt dyno. After 26K on the OE's, the seat of my pants will recognize any significant torque gains. I'll know this week.

Isn't it the other way around when riding single?

A little less weight and less noise? :p Not sure about the stainless part.

I would like to get my wife out on a 2-up ride soon, I haven't had her on in too many twisties. My normal pillion for that is my 11 year old. She lives for it. My wife, well let's just say she hasn't gotten into it yet, but I'm working on her.

:yahoo:

Her thing is her horse and well, if she's not cut out for pillion duty then she's not. (She used to be back in the day but that was long ago before we were married).

This weekend is a no go for us but the following (24th) might work.

If not there is always October. :D and I they still have the best itallian sausage down in Metamora to the best of my knowledge.
