Well, crap any chance we can change this to Sunday...as early as feasible?

Wife got in an accident in the cage this morning and need to do the collision shop estimate thing with her on Saturday. She's fine..her little Scion tC...not so much!

Sunday need to be back in N. Columbus by 3:00 for a biz meeting, but will be ready, willing, and able to ride Sunday early.

So much for a pristine paint job that I've been machine polishing to keep looking new....07 tC

Sunday? 555? Hmmm....I *might* be able to make it in that area! I'm trying like hell to get my rear off and a new one put one Saturday after I get back from Pony. If you guys DO in fact switch to Sunday, lemme know. I'd love to meet up and get a ride in with you all. I'll post up if I get my tire changed out by then!

Yo Tommy,

Just to make sure you know this...Iron Pony will not take the wheel of your bike. You have to bring the rim/tire in. It sounds like you know this already--just making sure so you don't waste a trip to C-bus or start shooting innocent bystanders for not knowing that. I also would call to make sure they reserve the tire you want. I seem to ALWAYS buy the last Avon on the shelf when I'm there. Lucky I guess, but I'm only 20 minutes away. If they are out of the tire you want, Honda/BMW/Suzuki/Yamaha/KT Northwest in Hilliard (offically called Ohio Motorcycle) can probably help you out. Great dealer. Best parts guys I've ever seen.

Also, "The Pony" have become a HUGE shop (took over a K-Mart). I think it's the largest MC accessory store in the country now. I remember when they were a crappy little 2 man shop and the service was 30 mins for 2 tires! Be prepared to wait for the tire install if you get there mid-day. Last time I was there it took 2 friggin hours for one tire. There are restaurants just south of there on 161 to kill time if it takes too long.

Sunday..yes..I will be in SE Ohio near Logan by 9:00am to return to Columbus by 3.

P.S. Isn't there a dealer closer to you than that???!!!!??? Athens Sport Cycle?? ASK in Lancaster??

I got a buddy that can change it for me here. Just thought I might kill 2 birds with one stone while I'm up there.

Yeah, I LOVE the new larger Iron Pony! Been there quite a few times. Wife & I are coming up since it's the cheapest place to get a new skin and of course there is a Smokey Bones there. We just needed an excuse to go there to eat! :yahoo:

I plan on calling them tomorrow to make sure they have an 021. I must be the ONLY person here who really likes these things. Besides, I have a basically new front on and don't want to toss out a good tire.

Mike - bummer your wife had the little scrape-up. Glad she's OK.

We have other things planned and can't do Sunday with you'ns'all. :(

So we're gonna go ahead and go tomorrow.

So if anyone is out and about and sees an '04 FJR riding with a Harley and a Ducati (and, possibly, another Ducati and a WeeStrom) feel free to give us the TWN salute. :****:

Ride safe!

So...where and when are you meeting up on Sunday morning? I might be able to slide out for a few hours
I dunno, looks like I may be solo? Will be in Logan by 9:00am, taking 33E to 93E to 216N to 78E to 55N to 60N to 70W back to CMH.

That should land me back in CMH at 3..and need to be back at 3 for another commitment. Anywhere along this route you can think of to meet up? Brunswick is ways away from that area, isn't it??

Sorry BG, we will ride sometime. Heck, I think you are only a few miles from me (I'm in Powell). Perhaps you can come by sometime to rap next week. PM me... And have a great ride on Saturday!!!!

Got back from our ride a few minutes ago.

It was a terrific ride! 33 (boooooring) down to 93 (much better!) around and about, including a stint on 555, back over to JimBo's for a 1/2 pound mondo-burger, then back home. 251 miles of fairly scenic roads.

Youz guys have fun Sunday and be safe!

BG

Well I got my tire, but it won't be on until later Sunday :( Oh well. There will be other days!

Hey BG, I passed you guys on your way back IN to C-bus. I told the wife, " Look! FJR! " and then I saw the Duck & a Strom and realized who it was. Should have saluted you :****:

So...where and when are you meeting up on Sunday morning? I might be able to slide out for a few hours

Yea, about 2 hrs. north up 71...but the roads down that way are worth the trip. I stayed local and took the wife out for a little ride. I'm sure you had a great time

I guess I should've checked this thread before passing thru SE Ohio this past weekend. <_<

It had been 4 years since I last rode in the area and I forgot how great the roads were. Without question, one of the best concentration of great roads and scenery in the U.S.! :clapping:

BTW, two sections that I discovered for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed:

-Rte 56 from Laurelville to Five Points (where 356 veers south)

-Rte 691 from 56 north to Nelsonville

I really hope to make it to the SE Ohio Ramble in '09!
